I posted a thread on the DIG/MIA web site forum challenging them to a scrim
I hope that's cool ... if anyone here wants to play?... they are on their site as a clan that accepts that kind of thing... i don't know we'll see i guess

Whether the match continues is up to one of our coordinators. It seems he's agreed to come to our forums to discuss it more, so if that's the case, send him this way.


In the future, please leave the scrims and matches up to our Match Coordinators, they have the authority and professional responsibility to conduct business appropriately. You're more than welcome to ask them to ask another clan to scrim though.

Thank you for your consideration. I see your servers are located in Virginia. That is great because the majority of our 2142 players seem to be situated more or less on the East Coast. I wish we could get something together sooner, but unfortunately we have a lot of players with varying schedules that would make an immediate scrim virtually impossible. I would need to have at least a couple of weeks because we have a scrim already going down Friday night which we are preparing for, and another on Monday, March 2nd. The weekend following may be ok for us, but I would still need to get more input from our players.

If you could, just let me ask you a few questions:

What game type would you be thinking about, Titan or Conquest?

How many players would you be bringing? We are able to easily bring anywhere from 12 on up to 20 players if necessary, and perhaps even more.

Where do you stand on rules? These can be hammered out later, but I want to see what you think about some things like whether friendly fire would be on or off, are commanders allowed, and things of that nature. A basic set of rules that I could live with is like this:

Best of 3 rounds. In the event of a tie after 2 rounds(each team has won a single round), a third round will be played. The team that had the highest amount of points from the won they had won is allowed to choose which side they would like to play on round 3. We just need to keep track of how many points the winning team had at the end of each round.

FF will be off.

Ramming, RDX hopping, and spawn camping can be allowed since there really is no way to definitively judge when a player is doing these things, and also because these tactics are not typically used very often in formal matches anyway.

All unlocks allowed.

Fighting commanders allowed.

No problems, nothing personal and no hard feelings. We're just trying to keep our jobs assigned appropriately because some people are better at doing certain things (with practice, expertise, and experience) than others, and others simply have more time to devote to doing certain things.

I don't know your experience personally, so that's why I asked that you not post challenge requests with others. The main reason is that we've had past experiences where members here (and of other clans) have tried to setup scrims with us or another clan, and us administrators and the coordinators didn't even know about it. It's more or less a matter of maintaining professionalism and organization, in the sense that we have a clearly defined chain of command (or rather in our case, a clearly define group of members) who deal with certain issues. I hope you understand. :)

Anyway, long story short, if you haven't already, tell (whoever responded on their site) to go ahead and register here and post a request. You're more than welcome to get in contact with our coordinators to see if you can help in any way (I know drunken and Rusty are two of them [maybe Rigsby too?], but I'm not sure of all of them... guess we should probably create a group for that.)

I'll contact DiG about this and see what nights they're free for scrimmages. We're currently participating in the BFCL 2142 5v5 league, so that'll take precedence if there's going to be any interference, but aside from that I don't see a problem in setting up another weekly scrimmage with these guys.

Rigsby and I played with a number of MIA members in the TGW toruney last year. A few of them expressed interest in having a clan scrim to us. I already have the name of the person in charge of setting this up on their end. I also sent them our URL to arrange it on the FLOT forums. I have those MIA members on my buddy list and we talk occasionally. In fact, some of their members are in our forums too.

At the moment, some FLOT members are busy with TGW and the TG scrims. I know MIA is still active in TGW as well. I think its just a matter of time before this is set up. They are a great bunch of guys and players.
