So I've been using a Logitech MX518 since BF2 came out and I've gone through 3 of them. My current one is starting to feel shoddy and I'm looking for a sturdier alternative. Any of you use the MX518 in the past and have a better recommendation? I really like having 8 programmable buttons on a mouse at a time.

Razer Lachesis. Very good gaming mouse. 4000dpi.

I use the Logitech G5 and swear by it. Doesn't have 8 programmable buttons, though, only 5.

The Logitech G550 is comming out to replace the G5 soon, might be worth checking out.

Stick with the MX518. I might buy a couple more just to have as spares.

Actually this one does look quite good after reading some reviews. Think I'll give it a try and see if the buttons stay crisp longer than the MX518. It'll take me a year to find out though...

I've had mine for quite a while now and no problems.
