BC2 Giveaway to Pubs

So,

I was thinking, when we go live with the server, would we maybe want to have a little competition with pubbers to help us kick off a brand new server!


Say something like the following:


1. The first pubber to reach 50 hours of play time on our servers gets a reserved slot for a month.

2. The first Pubber to Get 15 Unique FLOT Dogtags gets a reserved slot on the server for a month.

3. The second pubber to get 15 Unique FLOT Dogtags gets a reserved slot on the server for a month.


or something like that....just a fun little way to make our server stand out for potential new recruits...BC2 will be a great way to expand FLOT in the future I believe...

Would have to agree with the idea though as far as recruitment goes in BC2 it wont be so much as skill as it would be about team work. Mowing over an entire squad and blowing an objective takes a lot of things and most of it i'd say is opportunity and luck

for recruitment.. we'd have to look at more then just how well they do with certain weapons. we'd need to literally throw them for a loop by facing squads of FLOT while playing with FLOT just to see how well they do in team on team combat. Anyone can mow over a squad with luck but to win against squads working together you gotta be a team player..


guess im saying we need to test recruits based on how well they operate with FLOT in squads against other FLOT.

this isn't to test recruits...it is to keep more pubbers playing on our servers to lead to that in the future...

Donators will definitely receive a reserved slot on the BC2 server when it's up and running, provided BC2 supports reserved slots. I don't think that's been confirmed yet.

Nothing's been released about the server manager program, so we have no idea if reserved slots are possible. I've already heard that there will be no battlerecorder, but that's not from any official source. I think the incentives for the reserved slots, assuming the game has them, would be a good idea.

Yea I was googling for server manager programs for BC2 and came up with nothing exciting.

It's a new engine, I wouldn't expect anything at the very least until its released.

Back on topic, if they have reserved slots, I think the incentives synergy have laid out are perfectly reasonable and might help promote FLOT servers.
