The problem is finding where I put that. I've been unsuccessful so far. also, those new banners you made, are they the same size as the one we're currently using? When I viewed them, they seems to be longth, but not as high.

no, it looks like the web browser is shrinking them, there is a zoom tool that shows them all at full size, they are just longer for the wide screen fools out there..i didnt change any heights...

That’s me! Thanks man, plus adding in the fad to black for the ones that were shorter so it doesn't abruptly end is a nice touch too
Keep up the good work

Now they're too long. The main content should be in the center 1000 pixels or so. A couple of the banners are cut off on the end for me, as seen in the post I made regarding the rotating banners.

I'll give you that one, the banner with the eyes and the FLOTgaming.net text is bad in that regard for small resolution viewers if it were just images it wouldn't be a problem but text you can read that gets cut off will bother people. I love it though because I can see the full thing. The LFD2 banner is fine though, not enough content on the edges if anything, would be cool to have that green fade come out a little further, but I’m not complaining I like them all.
Sorry to say but small resolution viewers are going to see this on pretty much every modern website but wouldn't know it. Take any website that has a background image or banner image, you’re probably seeing only a portion of it and don't even know there is more to the image and because you wouldn’t know it, it wouldn’t bother anyone, but text on the edges lets the viewer know there is more to the image.

This is what it looks like on my wife's laptop with the window maximized. At my home computer, I usually only have the window opened around 1000 pixels or so. I can't browse with it maximized. It's too big:

The banners should really be redone to have the main content in the middle with extra "fluff" at the ends for people that need to run huge webpages on their monitors.

The only problem I see is that the LFD2 one isn't exactly centered other than that the main content is in the center, I actually think both of those screen shots for you look good

Francis is cut off on the L4D one and FLOTGAMING.NET is cut off on both sides of the "2142" banner (what do eyes have to do with 2142 BTW?).

EAstore is a perfect example of a webpage with what you are experiencing, when they have game banners with characters from the game, you’re only going to see the ones closest to the center. It still will look good; you will just be missing content that is further out. It’s the same for gaming, anything really. The lower the resolution the less you see.
You’re better off not seeing him than having him reposition it to have it centered then you’ll probably have the right guy’s gun cut off and half of the left guys face.

I also think both those images you posted looked good, Gross. In fact, you see more of both banners than I do on my system, and personally I REALLY like the 2142 banner. That one is my favorite out of the bunch, specifically because of the text on both sides of the image. It was my impression that syn made the banner with the text intentionally cut off on either side, as if it were wrapping around your monitor, so to speak, or rather wrapping around the outer edges of the banner. I really like it.
The eyes are a 2142 image put out by EA on the packaging, I believe. I know they're from 2142. We also use them in our in-game loading screen server banners.

actually that is why i did the text, so you see "ing.net" on one side and "flotgam..." on the other, and if your widescreen you see it all...
its tough to find a happy medium for all...also, yes, we do use it for our lading screen...as I've taken some marketing classes, (but also some common knowledge) the more times you see an image the more it gets burned into your mind and association is key...
but we can always make a couple 2142 banners...and a couple cod banners, a couple l4d banners...etc.etc...
