New problem for me connecting to Vent server.

Connected but nothing shows
I recently downloaded vent and installed it. It connects no problem but, my name is all that shows in user box. I have uninstalled and reinstalled I dont know how many times.

Its ON the server side Not on your in. Who ever the admin is has the Guest Accounts setup to see nothing on the server when you join it.

I can connect and see ppl if I use the default password with another name.

If I use the name and password I was given then I cannot see anyone in the server or talk to them.

lol i think this is on locos end, whoever is setting up the guest accounts is missing or marking a check box. This seems to happen with all guest members who try and get an account, I'll wait to see the response of whoever made your vent account

Edit: You were indeed unchecked on being able to see guests, and non-guest users. Everything should be working correctly for you now.

Um, it wasn't me who created this account. I thought we allow non members to connect with a generic password, thereby circumventing the need for an account.

yeah, i don't know what the big deal is, just set up a anonymous account with a nickname, and use the password talkwithflot

Well he had an account, so someone set him up with it. Its good to have an account because people would be able to mimic your name and do spammy things.
